Friends!
I am excited to share that I will be exhibiting at the upcoming JDRF TypeOneNation Summit in Rosemont, Illinois, on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024! I will have stickers and Welch's Valentine fruit snacks available for the kiddos, plus books in the series that you can buy in English or Spanish.
Most of all, I am so looking forward to connecting with parents and children impacted by type 1 diabetes in the Rosemont, IL, area. Making connections and building community are the most beautiful parts of living with type 1 diabetes! Making your lives better through storytelling is what I set out to do when creating "Rosie," and I hope to continue to do so. Experiences like this fill my cup and then some!
I can personally attest to the value of these summits as a person who has lived with type 1 diabetes for two decades. I've attended other JDRF TypeOneNation Summits in the past and have found them to contain beneficial diabetes landscape insights as well as actionable diabetes management tips and opportunities to connect with others who truly understand what you're going through. I stay in touch with many of the people I've met at these summits over the years. They just get it!
JDRF Illinois has some great things planned for those who attend this particular summit. Attendees will learn about research advances, participate in discussions with experts, and meet others living with type 1 diabetes. Educational sessions will focus on T1D care and management and be geared toward different audiences.
